Hello, I am Daria
After seven years working as a civil engineer, I realized that my heart belonged elsewhere — in the world of wine. Trading blueprints for vineyards, I retrained as a sommelier and began exploring the stories, flavors, and traditions hidden in every bottle. This website grew out of that passion, but it is also a family project. My brother Pavel, a devoted IT enthusiast, decided to bring his skills to the table and built this platform with me. What began as a simple idea soon became a shared adventure: a space where my love of wine and his love of technology meet. Through playful quizzes and thoughtful content, we hope not only to share knowledge, but also to invite curiosity, spark conversations, and make the world of wine feel both welcoming and inspiring.
History of DarWine
While still working as an engineer, I began studying wine on my own and quickly felt the need for a fun, practical way to learn. That's how DarWine Club was born — a self-study platform with interactive wine quizzes designed to help curious minds to explore the world of wine. Alongside it, I created my Instagram @darwine_club, where I share tips, stories, and wine discoveries.
Wine, now and always
After months of self-study and blind tastings, I passed my first wine exam with the Court of Master Sommeliers. Not long after, I landed my first sommelier job — in a two-star Michelin restaurant in Paris.Since then, I've continued to explore the vast world of wine — one bottle, region, and story at a time. Every day in wine brings something new, and that's what I love most.
